Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust provides a wide range of inpatient and community-based mental health care to people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford and Trafford and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester and beyond. The Trust employs around 5,000 members of staff and has £330 million income, delivering services from more than 140 locations including five hospital sites, many community facilities and in prisons. Recognised nationally as a high performing provider, we work extensively with our partners across the Greater Manchester system. Promoting parity of esteem for mental health with physical health, we are shifting the focus to prevention, early intervention and resilience in communities, to deliver a sustainable and integrated mental health system across the region.
We are an ambitious organisation with an exciting future agenda of investment including a £72 million rebuild in North Manchester. Our Director of Finance and IM&T will retire in March and we are seeking a progressive individual to join our high-performing board in this central and influential role. This is a wide-ranging role with responsibility for leading financial strategy, partnering our service leads in delivering operational efficiencies and for providing insight and leadership in driving our exciting Digital agenda. With a key role to play in promoting whole system working, this role will require a proactive approach to partnership with other providers as well as our regulators and commissioners.
A strategic finance professional and leader of change, you will evidence a strong track record of innovation in large, complex organisations. Comfortable in engaging a wide range of stakeholders including service users, clinical professionals, regulators, commissioners and partners you will further build our impact and reputation. With service users and staff at the heart; your collaborative style will support the delivery of cost effective, efficient and digitally enabled services; maintaining our strong financial record and creating a vision for future opportunities.
